Riggs is definitely fucking with the idea of what the Michigan scene can be. His tape label Holy Cheever Church has some of the best and most thoughtful cassettes coming out and being from Michigan he’s a producer. His Draco re-release on Hanson got a few more mugs to know what he was up to but that’s a small piece of the puzzle for someone who still actually play’s the guitar like a guitar, can play the guitar but chooses to find out the way it can sound like and extremely fucked up 78’ Honda Civic with asthma. His recordings are damaged and this is no exception. Achievement is the first in a series of recordings that explore the restriction of individual movements to fixed time lengths.
